<description>A couple of years ago me and some friends here in Portugal were prototyping some mobile games, intending to go startup.

We went through the (huge and cryptic) specs to find out how to send SMS msgs containing MMS notifications (so that we could host the multimedia content on our servers and just send out the properly formatted SMS notifications pointing to our content instead of paying the mobile carrier for the &quot;added value&quot; MMS msgs and crappy content hosting).

It worked for 3 days. After that all 3 mobile operatores blocked us out (or the SMS notifications).
