Add Ohio to the List of “Places Never to Go”
Stuff like someone getting arrested at Circuit City for refusing to show their receipt makes my blood boil. Michael Amor Righi sums up the issue quite eloquently I think:
I understand that my day would have gone a lot smoother if I had agreed to hand over my driver’s license when asked by Officer Arroyo. However, I am not interested in living my life smoothly. I am interested in living my life on strong principles and standing up for my rights as a consumer, a U.S. citizen and a human being. Allowing stores to inspect our bags at will might seem like a trivial matter, but it creates an atmosphere of obedience which is a dangerous thing. Allowing police officers to see our papers at will might seem like a trivial matter, but it creates a fear-of-authority atmosphere which can be all too easily abused.
The price of freedom is eternal vigilance. And apparently the occasional unlawful detention by Circuit City employees and wrongful arrest. I hope Michael finds some support in standing up for the rights apparently lots of people are taking way too much for granted.

Ohio off my list, yet I live here. I was arrested just like Mike after calling 911. The reason I called 911 in Ohio was a shooting victom trespassed on my property and plead with me to call 911. I did and the asshole cops did not show up. My wife saw that the cops were down the street. I waited for another 10 or so minutes and walked to get a cop for the frightened citizen hiding on my property. The cops arrested and jailed me for obstruction of official business and disorderly conduct. I have/had witnesses and the like. The cpos/judges/attorneys are corrupt. I have been fighting my civil action for the corrupt cops for years and only to be smeared with the corrupt courts/attorneys/judges. Search http://www.clerk.co.montgomery.oh.us/pro and queary the last name gessner first name mark and go to case number 05 CV 534 and you can read and understand how corrupt the judicial system really is. This is a case all should read and understand because if you are willing to fight for your rights than be ready for the fight of your life. Judges cover for cops because the cops and judges work hand in hand and are paid by the people for the people. Stand for the constitution or move to china.
