		<description>It is interesting to compare the costs of your cellular voice at home and when roaming vs. your data. Where your voice might cost 3-5 times more when you travel overseas, but you cellula data is in another league.

I have a 1GB cellular data plan for around US$25 per month = 2.5c/MB. Of course it is worth noting that on average across an operators customer base the average real monthly use of the 1GB customers is more like 250-300MB. 

When I go overseas I can get cellular data roaming rates at US$5-US$15 per MB. That means a MB overseas costs between 200-600 times more than at home!!!

And of course now it is possible to be roaming on 3G or HSDPA (3G+) at speeds of 300kbps - 3Mbps!</description>
