In your example above you talk about &quot;conversations continue forever&quot;, and that is a result of deferred messaging - in the end IM and SMS won&#039;t matter, and what will matter is active/realtime vs. active/deferred messaging, regardless of the underlying infrastructure, and how both will be offered by the same infrastructure.
